This edition is inspired by the Polish tradition of Andrzejki — a night of fortune-telling and playful predictions.
On November 29 we’ll gather again at Das Gift to celebrate friendship, intuition, and a beautiful Slavic ritual of looking into the future.
What to expect: We meet at 19:00 and begin with a round of speed friending — 5-minute one-on-one conversations designed to break the ice and spark new connections.
After the first round we take a break for drinks and fortune-telling rituals, including:
Wax divination - We melt wax and pour it into cold water. The shape it forms is your clue — we look at it together and try to understand what message it brings. It can hint at your future, hidden talents, or a situation coming your way.
Paper-heart name reading - We cut small paper hearts, write names on them, and mix them. The name that comes closest to you or sticks to your hand first may reveal someone important entering your life — a friend, a guide, or a fun connection.
Shoe oracle - Everyone lines up their shoes in a row. We move the shoes slowly toward the door, one step at a time. The shoe that reaches the threshold first tells whose future may bring a big change — like a move, a new journey, or a surprise twist.

After the break, we continue with another round of conversations — and what happens next will remain a mystery. Maybe we’ll stay longer to read more fortunes, hang out, and chat. Maybe magic will take us somewhere else. It all depends on the group and the vibe.
